This document applies to both The Impulse Company (UK) and The Impulse Company Australia. Any references to "The Impulse Company" refer to both The Impulse Company and The Impulse Company Australia unless otherwise specified.

Introduction

By participating in courses and offerings provided by The Impulse Company, you are agreeing to adhere to the terms outlined in this Phone Use, Photography & Recording Policy.

Recordings Made by The Impulse Company

Purpose of Recordings

• The Impulse Company may periodically create audio, video, and still image recordings of activities, which may include participants in those activities.
• These recordings serve various purposes, including but not limited to:
  • Enhancing and facilitating participant learning.
  • Providing feedback to participants involved in courses.
  • Improving the skills of individuals engaged to deliver learning activities.
  • Providing feedback to individuals engaged to deliver learning activities.
  • Advertising and marketing The Impulse Company and its activities.
  • Other reasonable uses expected of such recordings.

Opt-Out Option

• To the extent practicable and reasonable, participants may choose to opt out of being included in recordings made by The Impulse Company.
• This opt-out request should be provided in writing via email to erica@impulsecompany.org (UK) or melbourne@impulsecompanyaustralia.com (Australia).‍

No Entitlement to Compensation

• Participants in courses do not have entitlement to consideration, payment, or other forms of remuneration for appearing in recordings made by The Impulse Company.

Personal Recording of Activities of The Impulse Company

Personal Recordings by Participants

• Participants in courses may create limited recordings of their own participation in The Impulse Company activities for their personal learning and development.
• These personal recordings should not include other participants, associates, or employees without obtaining explicit permission from those being recorded.
• These recordings must be discussed with your teacher prior to class and must be audio only, with no exercises being filmed.

Acceptable Use of Personal Recordings

• Personal recordings made of The Impulse Company activities may not be shared with individuals, groups, companies, or entities through any means or for any purposes without obtaining written permission from The Impulse Company.

Personal Photography of Activities of The Impulse Company

• Photography in class is permitted, as long as those being photographed give their consent.
• The Impulse Company grants permission for participants to share these images on social media channels, provided that consent has been granted by all individuals in the photograph.
• The Impulse Company is permitted to share any photos shared on social platforms that represent us, tag us, or mention us in any way. Photo credit will be given on any shared post.

Phone Use During Class

• We respectfully request that participants keep their phones on silent and out of sight during class to avoid distractions.
• If you wish to take a photo during class, please clear it with your classmates and teacher before the class begins, take your shot, and then return your phone to a pocket or bag.
