Having just complete a 2 year acting course in The Stanislavski technique, she was searching for a more organic, truthful way of working. One Sunday evening at The Troubador Cafe, she was introduced to Scott and the Meisner technique by her acting coach John Beschizza and what she experienced that evening was life-changing.
She discovered a technique that was both terrifying yet exhilarating. It revolutionised her approach to her craft, liberating her from the constraints of traditional acting methods.
In 2005, Scott invited Jacqui-Lee to join The Impulse Company as a tutor, where she simultaneously worked as a Stage Manager, transitioning to Assistant Director. Under his guidance, she assisted on several productions including The Enchanted April, Blue Window and Cloud Nine.
Alongside her work with Impulse, Jacqui-Lee continues to work in film, tv and on stage. Her credits include: Wonder Woman, The Crown and Fences (West End).
